The Effect of Proprioceptive Training on Directional Dynamic Stabilization

Objectives : Significant loss of playing time and the impact treatment costs due to lower limb injury in football demonstrates a need for improved protocols risk reduction. The aim present study is assess effect proprioceptive training program on dynamic stability elite footballers. Methods A total 16 premier league footballers were randomly allocated by matched pair design 8-week proprioception group (group A, n = 8) or nontraining B, 8), determine this over 16-week period. Group completed 8 weeks bilateral training, 5 times per week 10 minutes. Biodex Stability System measures overall index, anterior–posterior (A–P), medial–lateral (M–L) at levels 8-6-4-1 taken both groups baseline, 4, 8, weeks. Main effects time, level stability, direction determined, with comparisons made between 2 groups. Results displayed significant differences multidirectional ( P ? .05). A–P within baseline > .05), increases scores M–L representing detraining effect. No detected any point Conclusions Proprioceptive has positive all directions stability. Greater declines evident when compared index. Consideration must be given increased presented pretesting M–L. Findings work implications design.
